Ah, another sunny morning in South Lake Tahoe, California! The trip has allowed me to try a variety of beers that I can't normally get my hands on back in New Hampshire, so there are undoubtedly a few new additions coming to the Beer Map Page. If you have any suggestions for local breweries, brew pubs, or the like, please feel free to email me and I'll check the link out & get it listed. I have been keeping my eye on the states for the individual state pages, and I'm very happy to see that people are making use of the state-by-state listings. I still have plenty of Beermath Equation tees available in a variety of sizes, and some more merchandise items on the way as well. As always, tanks for dropping by!

Yo Folks! Welcome to the new look of BeerMath. I started the new design a few months back, inspired by an old solar-powered calculator that I had around the house. Be sure to click on the BrewMap Button, which has a state-by-state listing of links to breweries, pubs, taprooms, and more. It's a great way to scope out a few pit stops for your summer travels. Shirts are in stock too!

Hey there kids! I have a new look in the works for BeerMath! it's based on an ancient calculator that I found in my desk years ago, and have always liked the look of. Check out the original by clicking here. Drop me a line and let me know what you think by emailing me at danny@beermath.com. Your suggestions are always welcome. The site will eventually be completely overhauled, but for now, use the buttons on the calculator to navigate your way around the site.
Cheers!

We wrapped up shooting the first College of Beer Episode over the weekend, and we'll have it up in a few days.We are also going to be featured in the February/March Issue of Yankee Brew News, which has already gone to press and can be found at finer beer establishments in the North East United States in a few days.
We also have BeerMath and College of Beer Tee Shirts available, you can find them at the College of Beer link above. Look good while you brew!
Thanks for dropping by and for helping to keep beer math dot com alive and well!

Wow! It's hard to believe that BMDC has been online for over a year now! December 18th marked the one year anniversary of BMDC going live. There are some changes coming- mainly layout, with some more calculators as well. You may also find some advertising popping up here and there, but I'll do my best to keep it simple. I plan on keeping it free for the people, but that means that I need to get a few nickels here and there from the advertisers to help cover expenses. Donations are always graciously accepted as well :). Have a great remainder of '09, and an awesome New Year! I'm hoping to start the new calendar with a Flyer's win at Fenway! Let's go Flyers!

WWW.COLLEGEOFBEER.COM. Check it the heck out. It's a new collaborative that I have going with my friend Jason, owner of Kettle To Keg, purveyor of fine homebrewing supplies. We're still in the process of getting our first episodes ready to roll out, so be sure to drop by now and bookmark it for a later date. We're mega-stoked on this project, and we think you will be as well. Have a look at the slide show while you're at it, so that you can have a little snack before we feed you. Stay tuned for a tee shirt update as well. I hope all is well in your neck of the woods! Take it easy folks.

Man, it sure has been a while! A lot going on here in my neck of the woods. Most of it boring, but there is one thing worth mentioning...
beermath.com will be at the Wicked Beer and Wine Festival, this Saturday (9.12.09) in Nashua, NH. Information and directions can be found HERE. We will be joined by our friends and partners in crime, Kettle To Keg, who will assist us in announcing our new collaborative Homebrewing Webisode web site.
Drop by later in the week for more information!

Sorry for the lack of updates folks! Although there isn't a new calculator to speak of, I have added a new link at the bottom of the page. I met some cool people at a media networking event this weekend, one of which who keeps a great craft beer review blog. if you have a minute to spare and would like a well informed review of some craft/micro brews, be sure to drop by http://www.beer-babe.com/. I will do my best to get a new calculator up soon. Also, drop by soon for news on a new Craft Beer & Homebrewing educational webisode site that's in the works up here in the Granite state. All the best!

I posted an updated version of the gravity prediction calculator. As per the recommendation of on of our visitors, the calculator now predicts your final gravity as well, using a fixed value of 75% attenuation. I hope this helps you guys out.
I have also made a new application which will be up in the next few days, once I get an icon designed for it. It's an attenuation calculator, so you can now get a feel for how your yeast are behaving. Stop back soon, it should be up by the weekend.

What's up folks? I know, it's been a while, but the sweet spring air has drawn me away from the laptop and outdoors after a long New Hampshire winter. I finally got around to adding a new application, and it's a mash water calculator. For now, it's just a simple, single infusion strike temperature and liquor volume calculator. I plan to expand it for those of you who like to make things a bit more interesting with a multi-step/rest mash schedule. But that's all you get for now!

You'll also notice a new button on the right. That's right, I'm doing a bit of digital pan-handling for BMDC. Drop me a little coin to help cover hosting and advertising costs. It's not tax deductible, but it'll make you feel better about yourself and make you more attractive to the opposite sex, or same sex, if that's your thing. I don't judge!

I hope that you've been getting your brew on! I haven't had a chance to get much going these days, which was poor planning on my part, as the NHL playoffs have begun, which is typically marked by a notable increase in my beer consumption. I hope to get a batch of my Suckerpunch Pale Ale going soon, as well as a crisp, quenching, Pils for the warmer months. Perhaps this weekend I'll get it on. All the best people.
Peace!

I have finally added a new calculator, and it's a Plato / Specific Gravity conversion calculator. I have a few more ideas in the works that will hopefully be up by this weekend. Let me know if you encounter any issues with the new tool - I have tested it quite a bit but you can never be too careful! have a great weekend. Also, be sure to click the facebook icon at right to become a fan of beermath on facebook.
Peace!

Hey there people! We're now 2 months into '09, and hopefully you've had a chance to get some good home brews going. I just finished brewing the second batch of my robust coffee porter a few hours ago, and I spent my boil time fixing a bug reported by Andy. There was a math error in the mash efficiency calculator, which has been corrected. Fortunately, it was in the favor of the user, so hopefully it boosted someone's self esteem. I have set some time aside to get some calculators designed and put up this week, as things have settled down a bit on the home improvement front. Have a great weekend and stop back soon.

Greetings! Sorry about the lack of updates, I have been in the process of doing some remodeling here at home. I have to take the time to make some home improvements from time to time, to avoid the "all you do is play with your beer" line from my wife. I will have some additional calculators up by the end of the month. Any suggestions for new calculators? Email Me and let me know. Also, be sure to check out our friends at www.nikobrew.com, which has a great selection of cheap hops, rhizomes, and some brewing equipment to boot.

Quick Update: The BU:GU Calculator is now online. I'm happy to help you bring balance to your life.

01.02.08
Hoppy New Year! (sorry, I can't pass up an opportunity for a stupid pun) I hope that everyone had the chance to spend the holidays with their loved ones, especially those found in brown long neck bottles. The newest addition to BMDC has been added, and it's a recipe scaling calculator. The math is sound, although tabbing from field to field is still a bit quirky - I'm working to correct it. I'll add a bitterness units to gravity units ratio (BU:GU) calculator this weekend, and there are a bunch of additional applications in the works. I hope that 2009 is a great year for everyone, and that you have much success in all of your endeavors, especially those producing great brews.
